3 Million Years of Geological Adventure of Oylat Cave

Oylat Cave, located on the steep slopes of the canyon valley in Bursa's İnegöl district, was formed over a period of 3 million years by the melting of limestone by underground waters along fault fractures. The cave, which was opened to tourism in 2006 with the completion of lighting and walking paths, is the 2nd largest cave in Turkey, with a total length of 750 meters and huge halls reaching 93 meters in places.

The most important feature of the cave is that the air inside has 93 percent relative humidity and a constant temperature of 18 degrees throughout the year. The intense mineral ions in the air and the dust-free atmosphere offer a natural healing therapy to thousands of local and foreign patients suffering from asthma, bronchitis and shortness of breath.

• Two-Storey Cave Gallery: The cave consists of two main galleries connected to each other. After the first 150 meters of narrow and damp corridor, the monumental main hall, the size of a huge stadium, is reached.
• Forest of Stalactites, Stalagmites and Columns: Huge stalactite columns, giant mushroom-shaped stalagmites and colorful calcite travertine pools formed drop by drop over thousands of years are fascinating under professional lighting.
• Oylat Thermal Springs Healing: Oylat Thermal Springs, located in the valley just below the cave, is famous for its 40-degree natural thermal waters, which have been a cure for rheumatism, arthritis and skin diseases since the Roman and Byzantine periods. According to legend, the Byzantine tekfur's daughter, who was on her deathbed, was healed by these waters.
• Oylat Waterfall Trekking Trail: You can take a pleasant nature walk to Oylat Waterfall by walking along the path between hornbeam and beech trees that extend into the depths of the valley.

Where and How to Get to Oylat?

Oylat Cave and Thermal Springs are located 72 km southeast of Bursa center, 27 km from İnegöl district center, near Hilmiye Village.

• By Private Vehicle: You can easily reach the cool asphalt road of the valley by passing İnegöl on the Bursa-Ankara highway and following the Oylat signs at the Domaniç / Tavşanlı junction.
• By minibus: You can come to the valley with the Oylat Thermal Springs minibuses, which depart from İnegöl Doğu Garage every half hour, and walk to the cave entrance from there.
• Parking:There is a parking area for visitors in front of the cave entrance facility.
